Laugh Tracks Make Me Want to Kill Myself

Plastered all over unfunny jokes, the laugh track is intended to make people think that because they hear laughter they ought to be laughing.

This is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Why the hell is hearing fake people laugh supposed to make me laugh? It just makes me think there are a lot of idiots out there who think that MAD TV or other crappy shows are funny or relevant. Usually you can tell how sharty a show is by the number of times per minute they use a track. Instead of "wasting" time and money on writers or a script, producers discovered that they could get the depressingly large demographic who think the "... MOVIE" franchise is absolutely hilarious because they get goaded into believing this when hearing laughter and thinking they ought to be laughing! And by God, they are nobody's fools! They get all the jokes! Even the ones that don't make sense or are just stupid one liners or catch phrases like:

Jimmy I wonder where Freddy is?
[Freddy enters, carrying a bag]
"Studio Audience" WOOOOOOOOOOO
Jimmy Where have you been?
Freddy I went to the grocery store, DUH
"Studio Audience" AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Jimmy Well you could have let me know, I needed some more CONDOMS since your family reunion is this weekend!
"Studio Audience" WOOOOOO/AHAHAHAHAHHA
Freddy How many times do I have to tell you, my Grandma died this year?
"Studio Audience" OW OW OW/AHAHAHAHAHHA
Jimmy At least once more! And you know that's never stopped me!
"Studio Audience" DIES FROM UNCONTROLLABLE LAUGHTER
No one is going to call them slow for not getting this "comedy".
God I hate network sitcoms.
