Racist Myspace Advertisements Further Promote the Police State

By: Wesley Gray

Do you use myspace? Have you seen the ads being posted in the past few months? Many are calling for new recruits to the FBI and SWAT.

This is scary enough, considering myspace is largely used by publicly schooled, dumbed down, and happily fluoridated teenagers who care nothing more than of their popularity, their picture comments, and their status at the latest party.

If that's not enough, look at this advertisement I see almost every time i log in:

ithp.org african american male
See something wrong here? Let me make a few points:
1. They are looking for young males.
2. Ages 19-27 [I have often told my friends that the ages of 15-30 are the most confusing times of our lives. The times at which we are most vulnerable to outside influence (i.e. brainwashing via mainstream media, ridiculous video games, hollywood, etc.)]
3. No college.
I am not saying that college is a bad thing. I myself have a major in political science and a minor in psychology. Many professors do, however, want to get inside of students' heads to make them believe the same way as said professors.

The point of this article I am writing is the blatant racism in the advertisement. We have an African-American pictured in the ad, stereotypical bling and all, ready for action. Are they calling this man uneducated, violent, and easy to manipulate? This ad has, in my opinion, been designed to attract anyone who feels a need for power, regardless of race. The racism of the ad is just the (rotten) cherry on top. People need to open their eyes to these kinds of things. Your mind is being subliminally imprisoned by psychological warfare on every level. Do not submit to it.
