Obama: His True Colors

By Dr. Victor E. Winner

I’m sure most of you have read the story that has recently come to light regarding Nevada Senator Harry Reid referring to Barack Obama as “light-skinned” and “possessing no Negro dialect whatsoever.” Reid has come under fire for being “racist” and is now under pressure from Republicans to “step down” from his position as Senate Majority Leader. While Mr. Reid’s comments are indeed unfortunate, he has inadvertently cast light upon a vitally important, but until now avoided issue: President Obama’s skin color.

We all remember 2008 – It was merely a little over a year ago. When Obama-fever swept the nation, as thousands upon thousands of voters who had never before voted in their life and probably couldn’t identify the “executive branch” flocked to the polls to throw their support behind a Senator Barack Obama, a man with alarmingly sparse political experience who had barely begun his time in the U.S. Senate. But this was not just any man. He was a human personification of “change” and “hope” in the 21st century. He was an incredible orator, wooing citizens across the nation with his speeches. Oh – and he was Black.

Senator Reid also said that “America is ready for a black president” and that Obama’s ethnicity would “help him more than hurt him in the polls.” And he was right: Obama rode the wave of “change” all the way to the White House, becoming the first black President in the history of our country. Or did he? We have all witnessed the debate about Barack “Hussein” Obama’s U.S. citizenship – or lack thereof. There is disagreement about whether or not Mr. Obama was indeed born in the United States, an issue that is important because one must be born here in order to hold the position of the Presidency. Although this “birthing” issue is neither here nor there, it provides an interesting lead-in to a very real issue: Barack Obama’s skin color.

Harry Reid hasn’t been the only person who has noticed the curiously convenient color of Obama’s skin. Dark enough to make him a symbol of “hope” for minorities across this country, but light enough to ease some feelings of discomfort in certain areas of the nation. Don’t forget that he rose from such humble beginnings, in a household without a father, to graduate from an Ivy League school and enter the ranks of the social elite. Doesn’t it seem almost too fortuitous that a brilliant orator with this background emerged at the perfect time in history to take control of the reins of the greatest nation on Earth? Well, that’s because it is.

There is no more proof that Barack Obama is African-American than there is that there is a divine God who watches over us and demands that we worship him. Are we just supposed to “believe”? Well, voters all across the country “believed” that Obama was Black when they cast their votes for him in 2008. Imagine how they would feel if they discovered that their symbol of “change” really didn’t bring any change after all. Imagine how different this nation’s history would already be if we hadn’t been the victims of such a deep, well-planned and funded fraud.

Americans from all over the country are starting to question whether or not Obama really is Black. Is the most powerful country in the world being led by a man who tricked millions of American citizens into believing he was something that he’s not? One thing is for sure: it won’t be long until the American people start to demand answers from Barack “Hussein” Obama – the first “Black” President of the United States of America. It’s time for Obama to reveal his true colors.
