BET Networks, operated by parent company Viacom has always had a good reputation among black America. For years now Viacom has run ad campaigns on the network in an attempt to inform viewers on crucial topics ranging from education to green initiatives. CEO Phillipe Dauman may stress the importance of an education but at the end of the day his primary purpose in the company is to churn out a profit. Throughout history we have observed evil powers coming off as a positive influence when in reality they’re constantly suggesting their ulterior motives to the populace’s subconscious. Could BET be doing the same?
For every one second of educational material processed in the mind of BET viewers around 100,000 thousand seconds of harmful garbage is also taken in. Obviously this is an estimate but probably not too far from the truth. It doesn’t take a Noam Chomsky to tell you BET is just like every other entertainment filled channel owned by the filthy carpetbagging American corporations. But BET goes just one step further than their competition. They exploit the very vulnerable audience that so desperately sought their help. An audience that has been plagued by violence, ignorance, moral decadence, demonic music, and a massively oppressive government that perpetually watches over them. And then there’s Mike Murdoch.
I always thought BET couldn’t get any worse with their choice of programming. Music videos portraying blacks as animals right to movies of blacks playing stereotypical roles. You think someone would put an end to it. Maybe protest and force the network to play more alternative rap from aspiring young black artists who want to make a positive change in their communities. Not the case. Instead we get Mike Murdoch.
On Sunday nights you can watch the televangelist indoctrinating his audience with beautiful language, gestures, and talent for reciting Bible verses. The guy would make Hitler’s propaganda team look like a bunch of schmucks. He truly is a genius of communication, and fully understands how to utilize his power for his own pocket. On this Sunday’s episode (August 29th, 2010) Mr. Murdoch pleaded with a captivated audience to donate $1,000 dollars to his ministry. BET’s deomgraphics show a median household income of $46,480. Not bad but still $30,000 less than their MTV partner. Now you may ask who in their right mind would donate $1,000 dollars to this lunatic. Who would donate $1,000 to a dangerous sociopath trained under the wings of Jimmy Swaggert? Will many people obviously do or Mr. Murdoch simply wouldn’t be able to travel the world in private jets or pay the network an enormous sum to remain on TV. This is enough to make any sensible person furious and there’s only one solution to end this madness. Write a letter to BET demanding that Mike Murdoch reveal his personal and corporate balance sheets before he has access to the minds of millions of Americans.
Mass media is the most effective force when it comes to shaping the human mind. In just days you can convince a nation to invade a country, nuke a city, detain a population, or binge drink to death. That’s why every nation since the beginning of this creation has the mass media tightly controlled by the same people who decide foreign and domestic policy. This being said it is Viacom’s responsibility to put an end to this madman who has taken the reins of a dangerous psychological weapon and pointed it into the wallets of our people.
