The Hangover Part 2 subliminal messaging; a hidden penis & a disturbing sign!
I've seen some pretty disgustingly dreadful movies in my lifetime, but not many come as close to being as outrageously idiotic as The Hangover Part 2. To start off the dialogue and acting was absolutely atrocious. The audience was hit with failed joke after failed joke and just straight up poor acting throughout start to finish. However this article isn't about the crappy performances and humor.
I want to talk about the subliminal messaging. No one can deny that there was subliminal messaging in The Hangover Part 2. However you could make a case if it was for an evil, manipulative purpose or not.
Currently the U.S has over 2 million of its free citizens rotting in prisons scattered across the country, more than any country in the world. Despite the fact we have a failed archaic justice system many wonder the reasons why so many break the laws. Does Hollywood have anything to do with it?
I'll start with the most disturbing subliminal message of the two I found. (I'm sure there is more) Towards the beginning of the movie the main characters are talking inside the airport and there is a sign in the background that says, "Crime does pay sometimes.. " It also says something else. I believe it says also"why not" but am not 100% sure because the picture is grainy. Rent the movie on DVD when it comes out and you'll be able to clearly read it.
Now some may say well this is just a coincidence. I'd respond by saying that some overweight movie editor had to come into work and probably charging $300.00 an hour add that thing in there. It was no mistake.
The whole movie really promoted crime, and the main characters committed multiple felonies including starting a riot while yelling "fuck the police" and were responsible for the destruction of many stores. Of course at the end of the movie everything worked out perfectly and they didn't pay for their actions. Also I might mention that one of the characters boats, who happened to be an international career criminal, was called "the perfect life."
He was later apprehended by the police but was not one of the three main characters who the audience most likely most related with. If there is a part 3 mark my words he'll be out of prison.
The other subliminal message was the hidden penis in the monk monastery or whatever it's called.
I have no explanation for this one. It seems that the director had a fetish for male genitalia and transsexuals.
Anyways be careful what you watch and listen to. Or you might just end up being one of the 7 million people who are either in prison or some kind of supervised watch.
God Bless America!
