    alanborky says: Julia presumably you've considered this effect in relation to reflexes. Little attention's paid to reflexes but you only have to've observed your hands catching something in midair once before you even noticed it'd fallen to realise hands can seem to display a level of awareness and independent intelligence never ever credited to them. More rarely though hands can also demonstrate presience such as when you dismis them apparently moving of their own accord as mere fidgeting but then notice how they'd placed themselves in position just before something like a pencil or paintbrush suddenly rolled off the table. This presience can also extend to things like the feet. I was once shifting a tall stack of books when my legs of their own accord suddenly stopped walking. Slightly startled at having my momentum so abruptly interrupted I now tried to see round the books to see if something was barring my way then noticed a spider come out from around the side of the couch and wal

    Bugby says: Thanks for the article. I think humans have someway of sensing others. For example people seem to be able to sense if another is staring at them. I've done a test of my own and started looking at drivers when at a stop light. Almost instantly they turn their heads as if they knew I was looking. Very odd. May not relate to what your talking about but I thought I'd mention it.
